Furniture imports into the UK declined slightly in June 2025, while exports also registered a fall, according to the latest trade data.

Total imports were valued at £694.7m, down 0.82% from £700.5m in the same month last year. Imports from the EU dropped 3.5% to £320.4m, with Germany down 16% to £47.3m, Poland down 10% to £56.7m, and Italy down 1.7% to £69.5m. In contrast, imports from the Netherlands rose 103% to £24.1m and Denmark increased 47% to £17.3m.
Non-EU imports rose 1.6% to £374.3m. China led the growth, up 1.8% to £266.9m, while Vietnam declined 7% to £20m, the USA fell 11% to £16.7m, and Turkey dropped 9% to £10.6m.
Exports totalled £198.3m, down 1% year-on-year. Within Europe, exports fell 11.8% to £86.1m, with France and Ireland both down 15%. Exports to Slovakia rose 203% to £3.4m, while the Netherlands increased 17% to £7.8m.
Exports outside the EU grew 9.2% to £112.1m, driven by significant increases to Singapore, up 741% to £10.6m, and China, up 152% to £5.4m. The USA rose 4.8% to £51.2m, while the UAE fell 19% to £6.8m.
