The report, Europe - Metal Complete And Assembled Domestic Furniture - Market Analysis, Forecast, Size, Trends and Insights, highlights that the market is driven by increasing demand across the continent. "By 2035, the market volume is projected to reach 3.6 million tons, while the market value is forecasted to reach $17.3 billion in nominal prices," the report states. Market performance is expected to decelerate slightly, expanding at a CAGR of +1.0% in volume and +2.1% in value from 2024 to 2035.

Consumption of metal domestic furniture in Europe rose by 16% to 3.2 million tons in 2024, recovering from a two-year decline. The market value reached $13.8 billion in 2024, marking a 15% increase from the previous year. The report notes, "From 2022 to 2024, the growth of the consumption failed to regain momentum."

Germany, the UK, and France led consumption in 2024, with 542,000, 419,000, and 383,000 tons respectively, collectively accounting for 41% of the market. In terms of market value, the UK ($2.3B), Germany ($2.1B), and France ($1.9B) represented 46% of total revenue. Poland recorded the fastest growth in consumption over 2013–2024, with a CAGR of +7.9%, while the UK led in market value growth at +6.2%. Per capita, the highest metal furniture consumption was reported in the Netherlands (14 kg), Sweden (10 kg), and Belgium (6.9 kg).

Production of metal furniture in Europe decreased by -1.9% to 1.2 million tons in 2024, with Germany, Italy, and Ukraine producing the highest volumes at 216,000, 174,000, and 123,000 tons respectively. In value terms, production expanded modestly to $8.8 billion in export prices. "Overall, production recorded a relatively flat trend pattern," the report observes.

Imports showed signs of recovery, increasing by 8.2% to 3.4 million tons, ending a two-year declining trend. The largest importers were Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, and France, representing over half of total European imports. Poland registered the highest growth in import volume at +11.1% CAGR, and in value at +12.9%. Average import prices fell to $4,543 per ton, down 5.8% from 2023.

Conversely, exports fell for the third consecutive year, down -14.2% to 1.4 million tons, with the nine major exporting countries – including Germany, the Netherlands, Poland, and Italy – accounting for over two-thirds of total shipments. Export prices increased by 3.1% to $7,691 per ton, with Italy recording the highest at $14,015 per ton.

The report underscores Europe's dynamic metal furniture landscape, noting that despite production and export challenges, consumption and import growth indicate strong domestic demand.
