German gel and foam technology company Technogel has inaugurated a brand new production hall in Berlingerode. With an investment of over 10 million euros, the company is significantly expanding its capacity and expertise.
Central to the expansion is a modern formulation plant. This allows Technogel not only to produce gel and foam products, but also to develop customised raw materials. These can be used in a wide range of sectors, from medical technology to telecommunications.

According to managing director Hans Hermann Dreyling, this represents an important step forward: 'We are increasing our chemical competence and raising the value chain. This enables us to respond faster and more flexibly to the needs of different markets,' he says in an interview with Thüringer Allgemeine Zeitung.
Investing against the grain
The multi-million dollar investment comes at a time when the chemical industry is actually under pressure from high energy prices and international competition. Where many companies are applying the brakes, Technogel is deliberately choosing to go in the opposite direction.
In a statement on LinkedIn, the company stresses, 'In a challenging phase for the chemical industry, we are deliberately betting on innovation, quality and growth in Germany. We are making the future more comfortable.'
For the sleep industry, the expansion means further development of Technogel's innovative gel and foam technology. Think of applications in ergonomic mattresses, pillows and seating furniture. The new facilities will allow the company to respond even better to the demand for comfortable, sustainable and high-quality home products.
