Revenue dropped 2 percent to DKK 1,247 million, while gross profit slipped to DKK 710 million. Operating profit (EBITDA) fell 16 percent to DKK 172 million. Cash flow from operations before financing also plunged, from DKK 94 million to DKK 12 million, signalling liquidity pressure despite management describing the model as a "highly profitable and cash-generating business model".
CEO Mikael Kruse Jensen stated he was "satisfied with this year's results" given a challenging global market. He cited weak consumer confidence and reduced sales in Europe and the US as the main drivers of the decline, though growth was recorded in Japan, Australia and Korea alongside positive B2B results.
In a move to strengthen brand visibility, BoConcept appointed fashion icon Helena Christensen as global artistic director, a role management claims has provided "significant PR exposure" and reinforced the company's international profile.
BoConcept aims to build on its heritage while navigating weaker markets and continuing its global expansion.
