Frette was founded in 1860 by Edmond Frette alongside partners Giuseppe Maggi and Carlo Antonietti, and the company has built a global reputation for "luxury, comfort and creativity" in fine linens. Its roots remain in Italian craftsmanship, with products still made in artisan workshops across Italy, where some items can take up to 18 months to complete.
The brand opened its first boutique in Milan in 1878, an address that continues to house its flagship store. In the UK, Frette operates from its Mayfair boutique on South Audley Street, offering British customers access to its full range of bedding and home accessories.
Led by CEO Filippo Arnaboldi, Frette has seen steady growth, surpassing €100m in revenue in 2021 and reaching €130m in 2023. The company has set a target to double its turnover by 2026 as it continues its international expansion while retaining its heritage of Italian textile excellence.
