Tapi expands footprint with Carpetright store revamps

Tapi Carpets & Floors has revealed its latest summer openings, continuing the transformation of former Carpetright sites. The flooring retailer acquired Carpetright in July 2024 after it entered administration, taking over 54 of its stores. Eight refurbishments have now been completed, adding to Tapi's network of over 200 locations, with further conversions planned for late 2025.

Recent and upcoming openings include Norwich Sprowston, Yeovil, Washington, Plymouth and Bishopbriggs, alongside refurbishments in Torquay, Manchester White City and Barrow. The stores offer a wide selection of carpets, laminate, vinyl, luxury vinyl and wood flooring.

Chief executive Jeevan Karir said the new branches give customers the chance to explore an extensive range, from "timeless classics to on-trend designs", with options to suit different styles and budgets. He added that the team is ready to help shoppers find flooring to "transform their homes".

The expansion follows Tapi's strategy to grow its high street and retail park presence, building on previous ventures such as its John Lewis concession, opened in February 2025 at the retailer's Oxford Street flagship.
