Performance varied across segments. Large electrical appliances experienced a revenue decline of 1.4%, totalling around 4.6 billion euros, while small electrical appliances achieved a growth of 2.6%, reaching 3.3 billion euros in sales. The HEMIX monitors quarterly developments in Germany based on both volume and value, defining the market as the sum of sales to private consumers.
Experts noted that the overall market remains stable despite differing trends among product categories. Recent years have seen fluctuations, including pandemic-driven surges in demand, but the current figures indicate a relatively steady recovery.
The data reflects a market where some segments continue to expand while others face minor setbacks, underscoring the ongoing adaptation of the German home electronics sector to changing consumer behaviour and economic conditions.
