BDO noted that "retail sales improved across all segments this week", with fashion benefiting from strong online sales. The week saw a mix of weather conditions, with southern regions experiencing sunny, dry, and showery weather, while northern areas faced strong winds, heavy rain, and thunderstorms from Storm Floris.
Footfall across UK retail locations rose +0.7%, led by shopping centres (+1.3%), with high streets (+0.7%) and retail parks (+0.1%) also recording positive outcomes. BDO highlighted that total homewares maintained consistent positive momentum, supported primarily by strong in-store sales.
