While production of wooden-frame seating and dining or living room furniture declined by 7.1% and 5.0% respectively, growth was recorded in other key segments. Wooden bedroom furniture production rose by 9.3%, and wooden kitchen furniture increased by 7.7%.
Sold production followed a similar pattern. Wooden bedroom furniture sales jumped by 14.3% year-on-year, and kitchen furniture by 8.7%, although wooden-frame seating sales dropped by 7.7%, and dining/living room furniture by 2.3%.
Retail sales in June 2025 also showed improvement. The "furniture, consumer electronics, household appliances" category saw a 10.2% increase in constant prices compared to June 2024, ranking among the strongest performing sectors alongside textiles and clothing. Online sales in this category also grew, with their share rising from 17.2% to 17.7%.
Despite ongoing challenges, these figures suggest stabilisation and renewed consumer demand in Poland's furniture market, especially in bedroom and kitchen furnishings. The industry remains watchful but cautiously optimistic as it navigates shifting production and sales dynamics.
