This September, the M.O.W. trade fair will spotlight one of the most dynamic shifts in the furniture market: the transformation of outdoor spaces into integral parts of modern living. Held from 21 to 25 September 2025 at Messezentrum Bad Salzuflen, M.O.W. will feature a dedicated Outdoor Living segment for the first time, bringing over 20 top exhibitors together to showcase forward-thinking furniture, accessories and concepts for life beyond four walls.

"Outdoor living" has evolved from a seasonal niche to a cornerstone of contemporary lifestyle. As Bernd Schäfermeier, Managing Director of M.O.W., notes, 'Outdoor living is no longer a seasonal trend – but it is the expression of a new awareness of life. The balcony and terrace are the second living room. With our expansion we are responding to this development and offer this sector a strong platform to position with well thought out ranges.'
Exhibitors presenting in the new segment include leading names such as MB, Stern, Jan Kurtz, Hartman, Brafab, House Nordic, and the SCHÖNER WOHNEN-Kollektion, among others. The offering reflects rising demand for sophisticated, weather-resistant solutions that harmonise form and function for year-round outdoor use.
Looking ahead, M.O.W. 2026 will further evolve the concept with a curated exhibition area. This immersive space will demonstrate seamless transitions between indoor and outdoor environments, showcasing European innovations in sustainable design, short supply chains and premium garden furnishings.
Supporting the strategic development of the outdoor category is industry expert Kerstin Treichel of KT Marketing & Vertrieb. 'Currently we are experiencing an exciting phase in domestic culture: what was once reserved to the indoor area is now finding its natural place outdoors,' Treichel commented. 'Limits are no longer set to design, convenience and functionality. This change opens up new perspectives to the furniture sector, and I am pleased to be able to play an active role in this transformation process at the M.O.W.'
In addition to the outdoor focus, M.O.W. 2025 continues to offer a comprehensive overview of all furniture ranges, curated for all sales channels and price segments. Admission, parking, catering, shuttle service, and WLAN are free of charge.
