Worktop fabricator Roann has reported a 50% increase in turnover for the first half of 2025, reaching £5.277 million – the highest in the company's 30-year history. The Wakefield-based firm attributed the record performance to strategic investments and significant contract wins.

Between January and June, Roann's 40-person team fabricated 6,344 worktops, marking one of its busiest periods to date. The company recently invested £300,000 into its Wakefield factory to expand production capacity, which has supported this surge in output.
Key to the growth were new contracts, including over 350 kitchen worktops for McAleer & Rushe at the Bermondsey Project in London, and more than 260 plots for The Hill Group in Southwark.
Operations and technical director Scott Wharton said the company's momentum was driven by expanding market share, winning new business, and retaining loyal clients. He added that "investment in people and factory improvements has given us the right team and the capacity to deliver our growth plans."
Roann plans to grow its workforce further in response to strong demand, with two new hires in July and continued investment in manufacturing capabilities.
