European bathroom design enters a new era of function, form and wellbeing

The bathroom is fast emerging as a sanctuary of everyday wellbeing and refined living, according to Bathroom Trends 2025/2026, a new trend report released by Mediatike. Blending aesthetics, function and sustainability, this latest outlook showcases the most cutting-edge bathroom solutions from top European manufacturers.

'Bathroom trends 2025/2026 reflect a design evolution that focuses on daily well-being, technological innovation and attention to the environment,' the report states.

Designs are defined by minimalist silhouettes, tactile finishes and a heightened attention to customisation. Colours are "soft and enveloping", while modular formats and sustainable materials speak to a growing demand for intelligent, adaptable solutions.

Glass Design's MADISON COMPOSITION redefines the wash area with a sculptural basin-cabinet fusion. Crafted from artisanal crystal "Florence Glass Atelier"® with vertical grooves, the piece is available in five hues – including Hunter Green and Midnight Blue – with matching wood bases and striking metal detailing in gold or silver.

Cropelli's LUCE offers a "refined style with soft and essential lines", underpinned by circular geometry and water-saving technology. Its Energy Saving cartridge "only delivers cold water at the first click" and flow reducers ensure efficiency "without sacrificing well-being".

Zazzeri's SURF faucet collection pairs pared-down aesthetics with innovation. Its signature hand shower, in cast brass and carbon-black silicone, is "the queen of versatility", with pivoting jets and multiple configurations. Available in chrome, brushed steel and five custom finishes, SURF underscores functional elegance.

Scarabeo's LAILA is a new furniture concept complementing the Moon basin line. Its "tubular metal structure" and mix-and-match shelving options allow for "over 100 different solutions", making it ideal for small-space or bespoke design.

Sbordoni's FLAVIA bathtub nods to neoclassicism with a softened geometric silhouette and "unique flattened ball foot". Made from Solid Surface, the tub supports over 100 colour options and is "non-toxic and environmentally low-impact".

Dorsum's DORSUM® Bm panels offer lightweight, hygienic surfaces for showers and wellness areas. At just 1.2 mm thick, the stratified aluminium offers "great lightness and extraordinary strength", with customisable patterns for residential or commercial applications.

As the bathroom continues its evolution into a place of ritual, comfort and expression, this new generation of European design exemplifies a shift toward intelligence, individuality and sustainable luxury.
