Koelnmesse has entered a long-term partnership with Design Post Cologne, a landmark design venue located in Deutz, Cologne. The collaboration aims to enhance the city's design and furniture ecosystem, positioning Design Post as an additional top venue for trade fairs, congresses, and events, just steps away from Koelnmesse's main exhibition grounds.

Design Post Cologne, a protected industrial site with over 3,500 square metres of exhibition space, has served as a creative hub for the design community since 2006. The site will now support Koelnmesse's broader event strategy, particularly the reimagined idd cologne, intended to strengthen ties between the fair and the city's creative scene.
Gerald Böse, CEO of Koelnmesse, described the venue as an "inspiring atmosphere" and a "perfect complement" to existing sites such as the Rheinterrassen and Flora. Wim van Ast, Managing Director of Design Post, added that the partnership reinforces Design Post's role as "a catalyst for the design and furniture community."
Spaces will also be marketed to external clients via Koelncongress GmbH, broadening access to the venue while retaining Design Post as the contracting partner. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to creativity, collaboration, and innovation in a shifting design landscape.
