Habitat secures comeback in France with digital overhaul and design focus

One year after relaunching its habitat.fr e-commerce platform, Habitat has confirmed its return to the French market with strong sales growth and an expanded product range. Now operated by Vente-unique.com, a seasoned online furniture specialist, the brand has rebuilt trust by issuing free vouchers to former customers affected by previous operator liquidation.

Habitat's digital transformation includes a proprietary ERP system managing catalogue, logistics, and customer service. The site offers over 1,780 products, featuring 410 new items across three fresh collections that emphasise aesthetics, functionality, quality, comfort, and the brand's heritage.

Key collections include Panorama, inspired by urban architecture; Art of Outdoor Living, the first outdoor range; and successful reissues of iconic pieces like the Ribbon lamp. Strategic partnerships with Anne de Solène and Fabrique de Styles enhance Habitat's physical presence in France.

Between June 2024 and June 2025, Habitat sold 66,246 products, generating approximately €5 million in half-year turnover, meeting targets. Plans are underway to expand habitat.fr into French-speaking European countries and further markets covered by Vente-unique.com, with continued focus on product innovation, designer collaborations, and community development.
