For the week ending 6 July 2025, total like-for-like (LFL) sales increased by 11.66% year-on-year. Homewares LFL sales rose by 5.09%, recovering from a weak base of -3.32% in the same week of 2024. However, in-store homeware sales declined by 2.14%, while non-store sales dropped 7.23%, marking the third consecutive fall for the latter.

Overall store LFL sales improved by 4.28%, while non-store sales surged by 15.56% against a strong comparative of 8.80% from last year. Fashion was reported as the leading category for the week.

BDO noted that early July began with ongoing heatwave conditions from late June, which shifted to cooler, wetter weather midweek. By contrast, the same period in 2024 experienced a cooler, unsettled pattern.

Despite strong sales, total footfall dipped by 1.3%. High street visits declined 1.6%, with shopping centres and retail parks also experiencing slight falls of 1.1% and 0.9%, respectively.
