June 2025 saw a notable rise in UK consumer interest across key furniture categories, according to Google search data analysed by Big Furniture Group. Mattresses, sofas and dining furniture were the top performers, with the highest overall search activity recorded on 7 June.

Mattress-related searches peaked on six days, with 1 June hitting the maximum index score of 100. Significant spikes were noted for terms like "cooling mattress", "double bed mattress protector", and "8 sleep mattress". Brand-related interest in Emma, Sealy, and Relyon surged, with 'relyon mattress' searches rising 3,650%.
Bedroom furniture experienced its highest activity on 7 June, with breakout terms including "grey bedroom furniture sets" and "rustic oak bedroom furniture". Dining furniture searches peaked on 22 June, with strong brand interest in ercol, Next, and Home Bargains.
Sofas recorded the most consistent interest, peaking on seven dates. Searches for "leather corner sofa", "loveseat", and "clic clac sofa bed" increased significantly. Flooring and carpets also saw high traffic, especially on 7 June, with "shaw carpets barnsley" and "wilsons carpets lincoln" searches up by over 4,000%.
