Dutch electronics retailer Coolblue launched its first physical store in Hamburg on 11 July 2025, expanding its brick-and-mortar presence in the German market. Located at the central Gänsemarkt, the store spans two floors featuring eight product zones where experts offer personalised advice to assist customers in selecting appliances.

The store incorporates digital services through the Coolblue app, including product comparisons via QR codes, virtual reality visualisations, and an in-store mode that alerts staff upon customers' arrival for scheduled consultations. A welcome column enables quick touchscreen registration for consultations or order pickups.
To enhance the shopping atmosphere, the store offers complimentary coffee and tea and includes a children's play area with building blocks.
Urs Möller, Country Manager Germany at Coolblue, said: 'Hamburg and Coolblue are a perfect match. The city stands for cosmopolitanism, service orientation, and high standards, values that also shape our brand.' Following the recent launch of its next-day delivery and installation service in Hamburg, Coolblue aims to provide a seamless shopping experience combining in-store product interaction with expert advice and convenient purchase options.
