The fitted cabinetry and sink markets are forecast to experience solid growth in 2025, according to research by KBB specialist JKMR. Between 2020 and 2024, the manufacturer sales price (MSP) of fitted cabinetry increased by approximately 14.9%, with a further rise of 2.1% expected this year. The end-client buying price for cabinetry grew 18.9% over the same period, with a projected 2.9% increase in 2025.

JKMR founder Jayne Barber noted that 'MSP and end-client buying price inflation effectively tracked each other during 2021 and 2022,' but since then, cabinetry costs have risen more sharply for end clients, a trend expected to continue. Barber attributes this to stronger performance at the high end of the market, where margins on premium and imported brands exceed those in mass volume sectors.
In the kitchen sink market, both MSP and end-client prices rose about 28% from 2020 to 2024. MSP is projected to increase by 2.8% in 2025, with end-client prices rising by 1.9%. Barber highlights tighter margins in the sink market despite rising prices.
She concluded that sink market value has outpaced cabinetry growth over the past decade, partly due to an increase in multi-sink projects and dominant, vertically integrated volume operators maintaining cabinetry margins without steep price hikes.
