An independent furniture retailer, located on Wimborne Road in Bournemouth (England), has announced it will close following the retirement of owners David and Pauline Scott. Founded in 1906, the business has served the local community for almost 120 years.

The owners of Sturtons & Tappers expressed gratitude in a statement, describing the closure as the "end of an era" and thanking their "wonderful team, loyal customers and supportive community." They added that customers had made the store "more than a store – you've made it family."
