The 132-page study presents detailed data on production, consumption, imports, and exports from 2019 to 2024, with forecasts through to 2026. Each country, the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, is analysed in depth, drawing connections between economic conditions, construction activity, and demand for office furniture.

Among the headline findings are the sustained growth in hybrid workspace solutions, the rising demand for height-adjustable desks, and the increasing importance of acoustic products and phone booths in modern office planning. The report notes:
'Product trends: from hybrid workspaces and rising demand for height-adjustable desks to the growing role of acoustic solutions and phone booths.'

The report also explores evolving distribution models, including the growing share of e-commerce, alongside traditional dealer networks, direct sales (including Government/GSA), and wholesale channels.

A key strength of the report lies in its competitive landscape assessment. Covering over 125 companies, including 75 from North America and 50 international players, the study identifies major manufacturers across product segments such as seating, desks, partitions, and booths. It provides estimated sales, market shares, and performance benchmarking. Notable firms featured include Steelcase, MillerKnoll, HNI Corporation, Teknion, Humanscale, and SitOnIt Seating, among others.

Market segmentation by product type includes:

  • Office seating (task, executive, stackable, and soft seating)
  • Operative and executive desks
  • Height-adjustable tables (HAT)
  • Cabinets and filing systems
  • Partitions, acoustic pods, and phone booths
  • Furniture for meeting and communal areas

The report further offers a granular look at state-level consumption in the United States, as well as country-specific distribution and competition profiles for Canada and Mexico.

By addressing strategic questions such as market size, competitive positioning, and export/import flows, the CSIL report provides essential intelligence for manufacturers, distributors, and specifiers navigating the evolving landscape of North American office interiors.
