The Spanish furniture industry closed 2024 with a turnover of €4.619 billion, marking a slight contraction of 1.1% compared to the previous year, according to Aidimme's report The Furniture Industry in Spain. 2025 Edition. Although below the national GDP growth of 3.2%, this reflects the sector's ability to withstand adverse conditions, including geopolitical tensions, rising costs, and the Dana disaster that heavily impacted Valencia, a key production hub.

The report highlights growth in bathroom furniture, up 4.4%, and office furniture, up 2.4%, while household and upholstery furniture declined by 3.8% and 1.4% respectively. Kitchen furniture sales dipped slightly but maintained turnover above €1 billion.
Rising prices and raw material costs increased 2.2%, yet operating margins fell by 2.3% due to higher structural and salary expenses. The Valencian Community leads production with 18.2% of turnover, followed by Andalusia and Catalonia.
The sector remains fragmented, dominated by microenterprises, which account for nearly 88% of companies but less than 20% of turnover. Employment remained stable at 65,341 workers, with women representing 19.7%.
Exports reached a historic high of €2.759 billion, with Europe as the main trade partner. The sector forecasts moderate growth in 2025, tempered by international uncertainties.
