Kapsamer-Fellner leads the fourth generation of the family-run business, which was founded by her great-grandfather in 1921. The award acknowledges her role as a model for women entering self-employment through business succession, an increasingly popular route, with 633 businesses acquired in Upper Austria in 2024 alone, a rise of over 25% compared to the previous year.
FidW State Chairwoman Lisa Sigl stated that the award 'recognises Anna Kapsamer-Fellner's achievements and highlights how important female entrepreneurs are for the future of our economy'. She praised women in business for their ability to 'create opportunities before others recognise them' and contribute significantly to regional value creation through innovation and entrepreneurial courage.
Kapsamer-Fellner's leadership at Joka reflects the growing visibility and impact of female entrepreneurs across Austria's business landscape.
