Dutch furniture retailer Goossens and circular company TRIBOO are jointly introducing the sustainable Fenix table range for consumers in the Netherlands and Belgium. This cooperation marks an important step for both parties towards a circular home furnishing, with reduced material consumption, lower CO₂ emissions and minimal waste production. 
Last year, Goossens and TRIBOO signed a cooperation agreement to develop circular furniture together. The result is the new Fenix table range: a line of tables that uniquely combines sustainability, functionality and style.
The table top is made of the innovative and eco-friendly #greengridz®, finished with a matt Fenix Bloom top layer. This coating is fingerprint-free and anti-bacterial, allowing the tabletop to retain its fresh look even when used intensively and is easy to keep clean.
Consumers can choose from six different tabletop shapes in as many as eight colours. The tops can be combined with various bases, so that a suitable table can be put together for every interior.
An important sustainable advantage: by using 30 mm thick greengridz tops, around 70% less material is used than with traditional solid tabletops made of chipboard, plywood or MDF. It also leads to 60% less CO₂ emissions. At end-of-life, the tops can be upcycled via a pyrolysis process into activated carbon, usable for water and air filters.
