The company has been acquired by by the Config I/O Brands Group. The new ownership guarantees the preservation of over 100 jobs, with Heibad remaining an independent entity within the group. Martin Uhlig will continue as Managing Director, while Andreas Schmidpeter steps down. The acquisition was facilitated by attorney Peter Roeger of Pluta Rechtsanwalts GmbH.

The Config I/O Brands Group, based in Cologne, operates internationally and employs 250 people. Managing Director Frank Budde emphasised the group's commitment to maintaining Heibad's brand, management, and three-tier retail structure, stating: 'Continuity, stability, and reliability for our partners... are our top priority.'

The group plans to strengthen Heibad's competitiveness by focusing on digitalisation throughout the production process. Heibad will continue its operations at the 10,000 square metre facility near Nuremberg, with a full order book and a motivated team.

Uhlig expressed confidence in the partnership, saying the acquisition aligns with Heibad's values of quality and local production. The management team remains largely unchanged, joined by Sales Manager Thomas Kerling, as the company prepares for a new chapter of growth under the Config I/O umbrella.
