Furniture fortunes rise among Poland’s richest people

The latest "Wprost" ranking of Poland's 100 richest individuals features two notable names from the furniture industry. Bogdan and Elżbieta Kaczmarek secured sixth place with a fortune of PLN 7.4 billion, advancing 20 positions and increasing their wealth by 183.52%. The couple heads one of Europe's largest furniture manufacturing operations, including Correct, Com40, and wood-based board production under the Woodeco brand.

Meanwhile, brothers Grzegorz, Sebastian, and Marcin Ćwik, co-owners of Agata, one of Poland's largest furniture retailers, hold assets of PLN 1.51 billion. Despite a slight drop from 64th to 66th place, Agata now generates over PLN 2 billion in annual revenue.

Also featured is Antoni Ptak, known for the Ptak Warsaw Expo trade fair centre, whose fortune stands at PLN 3.2 billion, placing him 26th on the list, down from 21st last year.

The "Wprost" list, marking its 35th anniversary, values the combined wealth of Poland's richest at PLN 302.74 billion. It highlights the resilience and growth of key players in the Polish furniture sector despite broader industry challenges.
