Trends Up West draws over 3,100 trade visitors, slightly more than last year

Under soaring summer skies, TRENDS UP WEST turned the heat up on Europe's lifestyle sector. From 28–30 June, the Areal Böhler in Düsseldorf became the epicentre of forward-looking design and retail inspiration, hosting 303 exhibitors representing 450 brands across 15,000 square metres. Over 3,100 trade visitors attended, "even slightly more than last year", confirming the event's place as a must-visit fixture on the European interiors and lifestyle calendar.

From homeware and decor to gifting and garden trends, TRENDS UP WEST offered "a special vibe for the industry". As organiser Willo Blome (blomus) put it: 'TRENDS UP WEST has clearly developed into a true trend platform and built a strong community, offering inspiration and fresh ideas that meet the needs of many retailers.' Fellow organiser Christian Kasch added: 'We may be a small team, but we're always accessible. We help and support wherever we can, so that our exhibitors can fully concentrate on their sales.'

This seventh edition welcomed exhibitors from 12 countries, including 25 from the Netherlands, plus others from Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, and Denmark, reflecting a growing international appeal. Dutch cooperation with showUP further boosted cross-border attendance.

With its inclusive format and relaxed energy, TUW stood out not only as an ordering platform, but as a cultural gathering. Two halls brimmed with product ranges from "Home, Deco & Fashion" to "Cook, Eat & Drink", and a buzzing chill-out zone and Coffee Lounge added to the "wellness fair" feel of the show. On Saturday evening, the traditional social gathering offered a welcome chance for networking beyond the stands.

On social media, the fair made equally strong waves. Instagram reach topped half a million views by 30 June, amplified by high exhibitor engagement and influencer coverage. 'It was fantastic to feel the positive energy flowing throughout the show,' said Kasch, already preparing for the 2026 edition. 'We know it's a challenge, with so many events across Germany and Europe, to get retailers out of their routines. But one thing is certain: we won't give up.'
