Veronese Introduces the new Lido Collection

Paris-based design house Veronese has launched its latest lighting collection, LIDO, a striking collaboration with acclaimed French architect and designer Bruno Moinard. Inspired by the serene Italian shoreline and rooted in centuries-old Murano craftsmanship, the collection captures the elegant duality of tradition and modernity.

'For me, Lido is a contemporary interpretation of Murano glassmaking, representing the core of Veronese's identity,' said Ruben Jochimek, CEO of Veronese.

Veronese, established in 1931 during the Art Deco era, is celebrated for blending instinctively French design with the artisanal legacy of Murano glass. The LIDO collection continues this legacy, drawing inspiration from the iconic 18th-century Rezzonico chandelier. Moinard was captivated by the chandelier's intricately blown glass elements known as Bossettes, which he enlarged and reimagined in a sleek, modern context.

'What drew me to this project was not an examination of the overall brand but to immerse myself deeper and discover its existing elements. And, from there, develop a product in my own style... find a detail I can magnify, and then transform it into something contemporary,' said Moinard.

The result is a collection that evokes the spirit of the Mediterranean, marrying gentle forms and natural charm with bold, architectural presence. Two large-scale suspended lighting pieces form the centrepiece of the LIDO collection. These can stand alone or be integrated into a broader composition, offering extensive adaptability.

Designed with modularity in mind, the structural system allows for custom configurations across diverse scales and interior settings. Plans are already in motion to expand the range with wall sconces, smaller suspensions, and additional formats.

Bruno Moinard, who studied at the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Métiers d'Art, is widely known for his refined, empathetic style and illustrious collaborations with clients such as Yves Saint Laurent, Karl Lagerfeld, and President François Mitterrand.

With LIDO, Veronese continues to elevate Murano glass artistry for the modern world, reinforcing its position as a leader in luxury lighting design.
