Danish home improvement retailer Jysk has opened its 73rd store in France, located in the "Be Green" shopping area of Saint-Parres-aux-Tertres. The new store replaces the former Alinéa unit and strengthens Jysk's presence in the Aube department, where it already operates a store in Romilly-sur-Seine.

Véronique Prekovics, District Manager, highlighted the enthusiasm of the new team led by Thomas Guyon and described the store as offering a "unique, different, and exciting shopping experience." She added that Jysk's range, dedicated to sleep and living, reflects its "Scandinavian roots" with design, simplicity, and quality that aim to satisfy customers long-term.
In response to recent rumours suggesting Jysk was withdrawing from France, the company firmly denied such claims. Management emphasised that the firm's strategic priority remains "to continue our expansion in France," including opening new stores and renovating or relocating others to optimise its network.
Two new store openings are scheduled for July and September, illustrating Jysk's ongoing growth. The occasional store closure is described as part of a rationalisation process aligned with its broader deployment strategy, not a retreat from the French market.
