Agata opens first compact-format store in Poland

Polish home furnishings giant Agata is set to open its first compact-format store on 25 June 2025, located in Galeria Niwa, Oświęcim (Poland). Known primarily for its large-scale furniture showrooms, Agata is now introducing a smaller retail model aimed at increasing accessibility and convenience for customers across the country.

The new store spans nearly 350 square metres and focuses on home accessories and decorations, including lighting, rugs, and a variety of styles for living rooms, bedrooms, kitchens, and children's spaces. It will also feature affordable product lines under the "See how Cheap" offer. In addition, customers will have the option to design kitchen furniture and wardrobes through an online consultation service.

According to research conducted by the Ariadna National Research Panel in March 2025, Agata remains the most recognisable furniture retail brand in Poland, with 61% spontaneous brand awareness.

This launch marks the company's first step in a broader strategic expansion, with plans to introduce the new store format to shopping centres and retail parks nationwide. A company spokesperson said the move was part of an effort to be "even more accessible to customers in various locations".
