During the annual general membership meeting, which this year took place on Friday, June 13, of the Eplf (European Producers of Laminate Flooring), Ruben Desmet (Unilin) was re-elected as chairman. Fabian Kölliker (Swiss Krono Group) begins his second term as a board member. Philipp Sprockhoff (Egger) has been appointed as a new board member, succeeding Eberhard Herrmann (Classen).

Ruben Desmet responded enthusiastically to his re-election: 'It is an honour to be re-elected as chairman of the Eplf and to continue contributing to a sector that develops purposefully and resiliently. We have already taken significant steps in innovation, sustainability, and advocacy, but there is still much work to be done.'
Fabian Kölliker emphasised the importance of a future-oriented approach: 'I am grateful for the trust of the members. While digitalisation, sustainability, and changing market dynamics influence our work, I remain committed to combining tradition with progressive strategies. My goal is a flexible and competitive sector, aligned with the European ambitions for sustainable and affordable living.'
Newcomer Philipp Sprockhoff expressed his intention to actively apply his experience: 'Strong and united representation is crucial as regulations and market demand change. I look forward to leveraging my experience to further enhance innovation, sustainability, and visibility of our sector.'
