According to authorities, the man is accused of selling unauthorised replicas of iconic Danish design pieces, including "Ægget" (The Egg), "Skalstolen" (Shell Chair), and various PH lamps such as "Koglen" (The Artichoke). These items are recognised globally as design classics and protected under copyright law.

Police Commissioner Anders-Emil Nøhr Kelbæk stated in a press release: 'The sale of illegal counterfeit goods harms both customers, who receive a fake product, and the rightful owners of the trademarks who miss out on earnings.'

The arrest highlights ongoing efforts by Danish authorities to curb the sale of counterfeit design products, which undermine the integrity and value of the country's design heritage. Investigations are ongoing, and no further details about potential charges or court proceedings have yet been released.
