Gross merchandise volume reached €132.1 million, marking a 12.6% year-on-year increase, while consolidated revenue rose by 8.4% to €97.8 million. Adjusted EBITDA stood at €11.2 million, representing 11.4% of revenue, up from 9.4% in the second half of 2023-2024. Net income climbed modestly to €4.9 million (+2.4%).
Sacha Vigna, Chief Executive Officer of Vente-Unique.com, commented:
'We are pleased to have maintained our strong growth momentum despite a sluggish consumer environment, a demanding comparison base and the investments made to revitalise the Habitat brand. While the market slowdown persists, our various growth drivers have successfully taken over: the marketplace is accelerating, the Habitat brand is bringing us renewed activity in France ahead of its international roll-out, and we are capitalising on our logistics expertise with fulfilment. This half-year is a perfect illustration of the resilience of our business model, which we are developing patiently and sensibly, keeping a close eye on changes in the market and its needs. We are approaching the future with confidence and serenity, as the upcoming opening of our second warehouse will enable us to accelerate our commercial momentum and fully leverage our growth drivers.'
The company attributed growth to several key drivers: a successful start for the recently relaunched Habitat brand, continued expansion of its online marketplace (now 21% of French e-commerce sales, up from 16%), and a growing logistics fulfilment business. Notably, Habitat generated approximately €5 million in revenue during the period, aligning with full-year expectations. International sales also gained ground, with Southern Europe revenue up 25.7%.
Despite continued pricing pressure from competitors and softer domestic demand (furniture sales in France fell 3.8% in Q1 2025), the group increased its gross margin slightly to 59.0% of revenue, supported by higher-margin segments such as marketplace and logistics services.
Vente-Unique.com's financial position remains robust, with €27.9 million in cash (pre-dividend), €42.2 million in shareholders' equity, and negligible financial debt. The group paid a dividend of €0.38 per share on 5 June 2025, totalling €3.7 million.
Looking ahead, the group plans to accelerate its international footprint with expansion into Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, and extend its Habitat offering to French-speaking European countries. It also expects further growth in its fulfilment operations and will launch retail media services by year-end.
To support its scaling strategy, Vente-Unique.com will open a second warehouse in Allier, France, starting with 40% of capacity in early 2025-2026. This facility will expand logistics and commercial capacity by 75%.
With strong momentum heading into the third quarter, Vente-Unique.com remains confident in achieving another year of profitable growth.
