Maxfurn builds distribution centre in Romania due to strong demand for seating furniture

There is plenty of movement at Maxfurn in Uden. While the well-attended home show is drawing to a close and was enthusiastically attended until the last day, the company is also making great strides internationally. In Oradea, Romania, the construction of its own distribution centre is now in full swing.

Three weeks ago, the final contracts were signed, marking the official start of construction. Since then, considerable progress has already been made. The new distribution centre is being built next to the existing production halls.

With this expansion, Maxfurn not only underlines its ambitious growth course, but also the strong emergence of seating furniture within its range. Parallel to the construction of the distribution centre, a new production hall is also being built specifically for this product group. This development fits perfectly with the strategic vision: more grip on quality, delivery times and innovation. This translates, among other things, into a five-year warranty and a delivery time of five weeks.

At the house show in Uden, Maxfurn showed a wide range of new sofa sets.

At the recent home show in Uden, Maxfurn presented a wide range of new sofa sets. Interest from customers was high, a clear confirmation that the company is on the right track.

The expansion enables Maxfurn to significantly improve its logistics processes. With a storage capacity of 12,500 m² and eighteen loading and unloading docks, the company can process large volumes and serve customers at home and abroad faster and more efficiently. In addition, an advanced warehouse management system will be integrated, optimally controlling all logistics activities. In this way, Maxfurn not only responds to current market demand, but also actively builds a future-proof infrastructure for further growth.

The distribution centre is expected to be fully operational by early 2026. 'The combination of a successful house show and the realisation of our own distribution centre marks a new phase in our development,' said Maxfurn's management board, consisting of Margot Romeijn, John van den Broek and Wilmar Verduin. 'We are literally and figuratively building for the future, with confidence and vision.'
