Maison&Objet shines spotlight on the new wave of design

From 4–8 September 2025, Maison&Objet will cast a bold light on the next generation of designers, spotlighting innovation, commitment, and fresh perspectives across interior design, furniture, and responsible manufacturing. With the theme "on the rise and ready to take centre stage," the show delivers a forward-thinking platform aimed squarely at the B2B design and interiors market.

Through three major initiatives, Rising Talent Awards, Future On Stage, and Factory Spaces, Maison&Objet offers a dynamic ecosystem for new talent to flourish.

This year's Rising Talent Awards focus on Germany, where a new generation continues the Bauhaus and Werkbund legacies with "the perfect balance of functionality, sustainability, and technological innovation." Notable participants include Friedrich Gerlach, exploring biotech and 3D-printed materials, Studio Œ, Marie Luise Stein, and Gabriel Tarmassi, winner of the Craft Prize for his organic wooden sculptures.

The Future On Stage programme, now in its sixth edition, recognises three creative startups:

  • Drobe (Oslo): "a suitcase [that] unfolds into a wardrobe, designed for new modes of urban travel"
  • Yüssée (Paris): sensory tasting boxes inspired by Chinese seasons
  • Hilo (Monaco): modular, drill-free furniture ideal for urban living

Meanwhile, Factory Spaces return with over 40 new brands across sectors, including OSCO, Maison Primavera, Atelier Penso, and Possery. Factory by Paris Design Week offers six alumni B2B showcases at Villepinte, enhancing visibility for small studios.

Maison&Objet affirms its role as "a catalyst for the future of design and living spaces," embracing experimentation and emerging design as a strategic force for economic and cultural transformation.
