TrendSet unveils its Autumn/Winter 2025/26 design forecast, offering the interior design and furniture B2B sector a vibrant, multifaceted vision that marries sustainability, comfort, and creative innovation. The upcoming season embraces 'a creative, cheerful mood with an orientation that is natural, modern, and at once partly nostalgic and partly futuristic.'

Central to the collection is a strong focus on sustainability and individuality, with designs expressing 'the belief in a better future while expressing both individuality and diversity.' Historical and folkloric motifs are reinterpreted through a contemporary lens to create a sense of continuity and belonging. The trend features 'round, soft shapes and cosy, plush materials' paired with smooth textures and playful surfaces, fostering a warm, indulgent atmosphere.

Nature remains a key inspiration, with organic shapes, mystical symbols, and primary colours reflecting 'the healing power of nature.' Natural materials such as wood, cork, wool, and stone, combined with tactile, imperfect surfaces, support a restorative experience. The products are 'multifunctional and address all generations, seasons, and purposes,' with vibrant hues and minimalist forms creating a unique style of modern sustainability.

The season's five key colours range from "futuristic violet" and "pastel star yellow" to "soothing retro blue," "digital coral red," and "dark cherry red," blending optimism with depth.

Materials and surfaces blend 'crystalline textures, marble, bio-based materials, wood, wicker, acrylic, and metal,' often featuring fluid or diffuse finishes, shimmering metallics, nostalgic patinas, and tactile shapes designed to engage and delight.

Motifs combine 'symbols from ancient cultures and legends, plants and blossoms, digitised grids and geometries, hyper-industrial shapes and textures,' with popular patterns including stripes and checks in diverse colourways.

TrendSet Summer 2025 takes place from 12 to 14 July at Messe München, showcasing these innovative trends that challenge impermanence with joyful, long-lasting designs, perfectly timed for the interior design and furniture industries' autumn and winter offerings.
