Casa Padrino honoured for global excellence at 2025 Cannes Film Festival

Casa Padrino, the German family-owned luxury furniture brand, was celebrated for its outstanding craftsmanship, timeless design, and international brand presence during the 2025 Cannes Film Festival. The brand received an international award for excellence in luxury design at the exclusive Gala Dinner & Awards held at the Majestic Beach Club on 22 May.

Founder and CEO Marvin Schertl, along with Dr. Sina Schertl, accepted the award in person at the event, which is regarded as one of the most glamorous highlights of the Cannes Film Festival. Organised by AI Films Awards (Jacques Durand), Congress Awards (Anna Stukkert), and The Royal Gentlemen (Thomas Misse & Marek Harmony), the evening was hosted with elegance by Alina Kremss.

'Receiving international recognition on such a prestigious stage as Cannes proves that true craftsmanship and timeless design are valued around the world,' said Marvin Schertl. He added: 'This recognition at such a prestigious event during the Cannes Film Festival fills us with pride. It motivates us to continue setting benchmarks in the luxury furniture segment.'

Casa Padrino was distinguished for its commitment to artisanal precision, classic elegance, and its ability to bring high-end European craftsmanship to a global clientele. The brand's signature approach blends traditional heritage with visionary interior concepts, establishing itself as a symbol of refined living from Monaco to Dubai to Los Angeles.

The Gala Dinner & Awards celebrated the Grand Art de Vivre, uniting leaders across design, fashion, art, film, and philanthropy in a richly curated cultural programme. Attendees were treated to a private art exhibition, haute couture runway show, live musical performances, and a gourmet dinner experience.

In addition to Casa Padrino, other honourees were recognised for their contributions to humanitarian causes and artistic excellence. These included Ioanna Efthymiou, acknowledged for her philanthropic work with the Maria Callas Charity in Monaco, and Toby Hyder, whose film Bones of Yew earned the AI Films Award.

Casa Padrino, operated by Demotex GmbH and headquartered in Essen, Germany, is known for offering bespoke furniture and decor that serve luxury private residences, hospitality projects, and commercial spaces. With its strong focus on handcrafted quality and bespoke service, the brand continues to shape the future of classical and contemporary interiors alike.
