Founded in 2003 by Cristiano Ghiazza, Eurotrend Furniture LLC operates as a dual-division sourcing company for Italian furnishings, with Eurotrend Home focused on residential products and EurotrendUSA serving the office, contract, and hospitality sectors. With a background shaped by Turin's manufacturing culture and later refined through time in Los Angeles and New York, Ghiazza established the company to connect North American clients with European furniture manufacturers through direct, curated access.

'I saw a growing interest in well-designed interiors but limited access to truly high-end European furniture,' says Cristiano. 'From day one, it was about quality, authenticity, and bringing something unique to the market.'
Shift in procurement and design frameworks
Over two decades, Eurotrend has tracked evolving procurement behaviour across both the consumer and contract sectors. Where once most clients relied on showrooms and catalogues, digital transformation has reshaped the furniture specification process. 'Online platforms and digital tools have changed the way people research, buy, and design their spaces,' Cristiano observes.
Alongside new procurement methods, market preference has moved toward minimal, ergonomic, and space-conscious design. He notes that urbanisation, flexible work patterns, and smaller residential footprints are contributing to the demand for modular and multifunctional solutions. In the commercial and hospitality sectors, Cristiano sees increasing demand for products that combine durability with a more inviting aesthetic. 'Clients are looking for durable, design-focused pieces that maintain a warm, personal feel,' he explains.
European manufacturing and material culture
Cristiano positions Eurotrend's model around long-term partnerships with Italian manufacturers. For the company's North American clients, interior designers, architects, and developers, this sourcing structure offers access to a production ecosystem with a strong design heritage.
'European furniture design, particularly Italian, is defined by its balance of tradition and innovation,' he says. 'There's an emotional connection to craftsmanship, and design is treated as a way of life, not just a trend.'
This approach is becoming increasingly aligned with current global preferences for natural finishes and material clarity. According to Cristiano, wood, stone, and woven textures are becoming more prevalent in both residential and commercial spaces. 'There's a return to tactile, natural materials… which is very in line with our European partners' approach.'
Structural headwinds and new brand alignments
Recent years have brought external pressures, primarily related to tariffs and trade policies. Cristiano notes that these shifts have affected logistics and operating costs. 'We've adapted by becoming more strategic and innovative,' he says. In response, the company has continued to strengthen its long-standing relationships with manufacturing partners and is further expanding its established sales network across key U.S. cities. We are introducing new exclusive brand partnerships in the coming period that, as Cristiano explains, "will reflect our commitment to craftsmanship, innovation, and elegance. These collaborations are a natural extension of the company's European sourcing strategy."
Outlook: modular living, wellness, and embedded sustainability
Looking ahead, Eurotrend anticipates continued demand for products that respond to spatial flexibility, environmental considerations, and wellness principles. 'We expect continued interest in sustainability, wellness-focused design, and flexible, modular pieces, especially in smaller spaces or hybrid living/work environments,' says Cristiano.
Eurotrend is evolving its portfolio to meet the shifting needs of architects and designers, balancing innovation with a steadfast commitment to core values. "We update our collections to reflect emerging trends while preserving our signature identity," he adds.
Asked to summarise the company's position after more than 20 years, Cristiano says: 'Eurotrend is more than a business, it's about sharing the beauty, quality, and spirit of European living with people who value thoughtful and timeless design.'
