UK concrete flooring firm cements future with £1 million investment

A concrete flooring firm has completed a £1 million investment into new headquarters and equipment, aiming to boost growth across key UK industries. The move includes the transformation of former farm buildings into a combined office and warehouse complex near Goole, East Yorkshire, alongside the acquisition of advanced concrete technologies.

The development features a "UK-first" joint-free concrete floor system, enhancing hygiene and performance, especially suited to sectors like food production and storage. Additionally, a newly acquired concrete crusher will enable on-site recycling of material, lowering environmental impact and enhancing operational sustainability.

Level Best Concrete Flooring, established in 2017, is behind the expansion. The firm has built a diverse client base across multiple sectors, with recent projects including flooring installations for a national food retailer and at Siemens Gamesa's Hull blade factory. Further work is ongoing at industrial sites in Hull and Essex.

Managing director Jon Wilcox, who co-founded the company with Adam Brown, Luke Morrow, and Chris Wood, said the milestone marks a new chapter. 'I am absolutely gobsmacked with the success we've achieved, and I am thoroughly looking forward to what the future will bring,' he said.

The new site at Swinefleet Common is designed to accommodate the firm's growing fleet of specialist machinery, including laser screeds, power floats, and grinding equipment. Wilcox added, 'This gives us something specific to our needs, a lot more office and warehouse accommodation, which we will grow into.'

With a previous turnover of £14.5 million, the company expects the investment to unlock further capacity and improve efficiency, laying firm foundations for its continued expansion.
