Over 5,000 baby high chairs sold exclusively on Amazon have been recalled due to risks of serious injury or death, according to a safety alert issued on 15 May by Boyro Baby, the manufacturer.

The Boyro Baby-branded 4-in-1 high chairs, sold in green, grey and pink, were found to violate U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) regulations. The chairs, which convert into a low chair, rocking chair and slide, pose multiple hazards, including a deadly fall risk and entrapment.
'The high chairs pose a deadly fall hazard to babies because the restraint system is not attached to the product and the locks or latches can fail,' the company said in its advisory. Additionally, the opening between the seat and tray is wide enough for a child to become trapped.
Roughly 5,400 units were sold via Amazon between October 2023 and November 2024 for $70 to $90. Although no injuries have been reported, Boyro Baby is urging consumers to 'immediately stop using the high chairs' and follow provided instructions for disassembly and destruction.
To obtain a full refund, buyers must dismantle the product, cut the seat cushion and restraint system, and send photo evidence of the destroyed parts to Boyro Baby at boyrobaby@outlook.com. Further details are available on the company's website.
The advisory emphasises that these products fail to meet essential safety standards for children's items, highlighting the importance of vigilance even with widely available baby gear.
Parents and caregivers are encouraged to act promptly to prevent potential harm.
