Hee Welling's designs are distinguished by the consideration paid to the purpose they serve. This thoughtfulness has been applied equally to Drip, a table originally designed to suit the contract market which now welcomes new, softer detail with a more residential appeal. In order to accommodate an even wider range of interiors, it is now possible to choose the HW115-HW117 dining tables, which feature wood veneer tabletops in oak or walnut, with a matching, solid wood edge band.

Drip comes as a knock-down that can be easily assembled within a few minutes. Once constructed, the table's recycled aluminium structure allows for a long, slender profile that can be easily placed end-to-end with additional tables as needed. Such versatility extends to Drip's function: it works equally as well in a home or restaurant as it does a meeting table in an office environment.
Drip's resolutely minimalist appearance reflects Welling's design philosophy. Aligning with his wider body of work, Drip was developed for the environment it inhabits. The result is a visually clean piece, made merging as few materials as possible, to reduce environmental impact.
'When life plays out around dining tables or your decorate an office, it's going to get messy,' says Welling. 'With that in mind, this table system is made to be as simple as possible so that it can blend in anywhere and provide calm to its surroundings.'
Drip's base is available in two finishes: Black or bronzed. The tabletop comes in
four options: Fenix laminate, Forbo linoleum, and oak or walnut veneer. For Fenix laminate and Forbo linoleum models, customers can choose matching or contrasting edge bands. Oak or walnut veneer models are also available with a matching wooden edge band, while the HW115-HW117 dining table models can be chosen with a solid edge in oak or walnut with a slight overhang for a more residential feel.
Drip is offered as a dining table with a height of 74 cm, or 75 cm if selected with the solid edge, as well as a counter table at 95 cm and a bar table at 105 cm. The Made to order tables are available in lengths up to six metres, with additional legs added beyond three metres.
