Despite a challenging industry landscape, one kitchen furniture manufacturer has reported a strong start to the fiscal year. Continued economic strain from weak housing demand, rising costs, and disrupted supply chains has weighed heavily on the sector. Yet, through strategic planning and commitment to long-term goals, the company has kept its momentum.

Nolte Küchen, based in East Westphalia, has successfully advanced one of the largest investment projects in its history. The initiative includes expanding production capacities and a wide-reaching digitalisation programme, both of which remain on schedule and within budget.
According to Sales Director Heiko Maibach, the company's ability to stay the course amid volatility is due to a combination of forward-looking strategy and operational discipline. Notably, Nolte Küchen made the deliberate choice to retain its entire workforce, a decision Maibach believes was key to project continuity and stability.
'We deliberately adhered to keeping our entire workforce on board, and this decision has proven to be the right one,' he said.
He further noted that 'especially in times of crisis, it is important to look ahead and make bold decisions.' The company expects continued stability in the months ahead and maintains an optimistic forecast for the full year.
