Bo Hellberg, CMO at both brands, commented:
'We are delighted to bring our Swedish design pieces to 3daysofdesign this year. A highlight of the design calendar, this year's theme seamlessly ties into the design ethos of both String Furniture and Grythyttan Stålmöbler. This year will be a display of innovation, heritage, craftsmanship, and timeless authenticity.'
String Furniture: elevating functional elegance
Founded in 1949, String Furniture will unveil a range of its core and latest collections at the festival. New for 2025 are:
- String Pocket Stockholm
- String System in Grey
- Pira G2 Magazine Shelf
- Museum Collection in Black, created in collaboration with the award-winning TAF Studio
These launches sit alongside celebrated ranges including Relief, a series of chests of drawers and hook rails by TAF Studio, and Center Center, a modular office system developed with Stockholm-based studio Form Us With Love (FUWL).
Bo Hellberg elaborated:
'String Furniture has always been driven by the belief that good design is instantly recognisable, has an ingenious construction, makes a real difference to people's lives, and is ideally made in Sweden! At 3daysofdesign this year, we are delighted to unveil our new 2025 pieces to the Danish design audience – String Pocket Stockholm, String System in Grey, Pira G2 Magazine Shelf and the launch of its iconic Museum Collection in Black. We'll also be showcasing parts of our range that we think represent our beliefs well, like Pira G2, originally from 1954, Center Center by FUWL launched only last year and Museum by TAF Studio. All of them with a timeless design that caters to the evolving needs of modern spaces, both in the workplace and at home.'
Grythyttan Stålmöbler: celebrating 130 years of craftsmanship
With a heritage dating back to 1895, Grythyttan Stålmöbler celebrates its 130th anniversary in 2025 by presenting new contemporary additions to its iconic outdoor furniture collection.
New releases include:
- A2 Armchair in Green
- High Tech Chair in Ivory, Petrol and Chestnut
Karl Lindqvist, 4th generation family member and brand steward, said:
'As Grythyttan celebrates 130 years in 2025, we are delighted to bring a range of new contemporary colourways into our collection. The High-Tech series launches in a Chestnut, Ivory and Petrol colourway, while the A2 and Classic series have been given a new look too, with a lacquered light green oak on a black frame. Celebrating 130 years of Swedish tradition and craftsmanship, Grythyttan continues to craft from the natural materials of wood and steel, balancing tradition and modernity. All production is carried out by hand in our factory in Grythyttan. No two pieces of furniture are identical – and this is something we are extremely proud of.'
