Positioned at the intersection of gallery space and concept store, The World's Smallest Flagship Store is more than a retail space - it's a living dialogue between Danish craftsmanship and contemporary design innovation.
Founded by Iben Joo Frederiksen, a seat in Siena exemplifies a new wave of Danish design thinking - one that values conscious consumption, storytelling, and timeless craftsmanship. Each piece in the collection is crafted locally using leftover wood from premium design productions. With modular formats and customisable finishes, the furniture evolves with its owner, offering a progressive take on longevity and utility.
A dynamic platform for dialogue
This space is not only the brand's home, it is also a platform for dialogue. Each month, a seat in Siena invites a guest designer or brand to enter into conversation with the existing collection. This ongoing curatorial exchange ensures that the space is ever-changing, always relevant, and a continued source of inspiration to its visitors.
Now exhibiting
The colour palette for the first exhibition is curated in collaboration with Bleo Collective. Lighting includes a re-edition of Model 262 by Gino Sarfatti for Astep, alongside 3D-printed ceramics by Danish artist Rask Barn.
About the founder
Iben Joo Frederiksen, founder of a seat in Siena, holds a Master's in Business Administration and Communications from Copenhagen Business School, and a postgraduate diploma in pricing strategy. With a career spanning commercial brand management and design media, Iben brings an interdisciplinary sensibility to the World of furniture - blending aesthetics, strategy, and sustainability with rare clarity.
