IKEA has already opened five new U.S. locations in 2025, with six more planned before year's end, and at least two additional stores expected in 2026. At the close of fiscal year 2024, the company operated 51 large-format stores, 10 Plan and Order points, and 39 pick-up locations across the country.
Plan and Order points differ from standard IKEA stores. They offer expert consultation for furnishing solutions in areas such as kitchens and wardrobes, and most include a pick-up point for convenient order collection.
By the end of 2025, three more Plan and Order locations with pick-up will open in Cherry Hill, Pennsylvania (June), Beaverton, Oregon (June), and Hunt Valley, Maryland (July). Additionally, three full-size stores will open in San Marcos, Texas (July), McAllen, Texas (October), and Dallas, Texas (December).
Looking ahead to 2026, new large-format stores are confirmed for Rockwall, Texas and Phoenix, Arizona.
So far in 2025, IKEA has launched four Plan and Order points with pick-up in Scottsdale, Arizona; Thousand Oaks, Ontario, and Colma, California. A standalone pick-up location also opened in Santa Monica, California, offering next-day collection and a range of in-store and online services, including delivery, assembly, and financing.
The expansion highlights the retailer's ongoing commitment to reach more customers while offering tailored service options that blend digital convenience with in-person support.
