CELLIANT, a U.S.-based developer of infrared (IR) textile technology, is set to present its fibre-integrated material platform at interzum cologne 2025. The company will focus on engaging with manufacturers, upholstery suppliers, and bedding brands to expand its reach in European interior markets.
'CELLIANT is an infrared technology that transforms textile products into health and wellness solutions,' says Lucas Tyson, Vice President of Business Development & Commercial Strategy at CELLIANT. The brand's proprietary blend of IR-emitting minerals is embedded into fibres, yarns, and fabrics and is designed to convert body heat into energy, which may support circulation, cellular oxygenation, and thermoregulation.

Applications beyond performance wear
The brand, which initially gained traction in sportswear and medical textiles, is now active across a wide range of industries. These include bedding, furniture, outdoor equipment, hospitality, transport interiors, and even pet products.
'Mattresses and bedding have been an incredibly successful space for us,' Lucas says. CELLIANT's mineral technology has already been adopted by textile and wellness brands globally. With growing demand for performance textiles in the interior sector, the company is looking to grow its footprint in upholstery, insulation, and furnishings.
A closer look at CELLIANT's offering at interzum
At the 2025 edition of interzum, CELLIANT will spotlight its LAMBSWOOL x CELLIANT® insulation padding, developed with Italian textile supplier Imbotex. The material has received the High Product Quality designation from the Interzum Awards 2025. The padding uses non-Mulesed wool and aligns with rising interest in bio-responsive and ethically sourced components.
According to Lucas, 'The CELLIANT booth will showcase thermoregulating properties for bedding, bio-responsive capabilities for passive wellness integration, and our materials with responsible sourcing credentials.'
CELLIANT is not launching new commercial collaborations at the fair but will use the platform to initiate discussions with European manufacturers, aiming to expand into upholstery and other furnishing segments.
Addressing barriers to adoption
Despite its scientific foundation, the company notes that adoption barriers remain. 'CELLIANT is an invisible technology,' Lucas explains. 'Consumers often want to "see it to believe it," so there's an important level of education involved.' CELLIANT cites peer-reviewed research and clinical trials to support its claims but acknowledges that first-time engagement is key to trust-building.
European focus and consumer behaviour
Asked how CELLIANT adapts to European markets, Lucas notes that 'European consumers tend to be more conscious shoppers and open to tech-infused materials.' This includes interest in functional textiles that align with environmental and ethical criteria.
CELLIANT is positioning itself as an ingredient brand for European manufacturers looking to differentiate their product lines. 'Our technology could be the added layer for companies trying to reach more wellness-conscious consumers,' Lucas adds.
Next steps beyond interzum
CELLIANT is preparing for its first direct-to-consumer release with the launch of the Infrared Dream Pillow Powered by CELLIANT, set to debut at the Biohacking Conference in Austin, Texas. This will mark a shift toward dual B2B and B2C engagement models.
At interzum, the focus will remain firmly B2B. CELLIANT is targeting new partnerships in bedding, upholstery, and furniture, with Lucas confirming: 'We're eager to connect with companies ready to explore new material capabilities.'
