Ikea and an American audio company have officially ended their long-running collaboration on home audio products. The partnership, which began eight years ago, produced a range of integrated sound solutions under the "Symfonisk" brand, including table lamps and wall shelves with built-in speakers.

The news was first reported by U.S. tech outlet The Verge, which quoted Sonos (the company in question) spokesperson Erin Pategas as saying the company was "proud of what we have achieved" in collaboration with Ikea. However, no specific reason was provided for the decision to end the joint venture.
Speculation suggests that increasing tariffs and financial pressures facing Sonos may have contributed to the move. Symfonisk products, often priced lower than Sonos' core offerings, may also have created internal pricing challenges for the company.
Although new Symfonisk products will no longer be produced, Sonos confirmed that existing devices will continue to receive software updates and support. This ensures ongoing functionality for customers who have invested in the integrated range.
The end of this collaboration marks the conclusion of a unique alliance between two brands known for their respective strengths in home furnishings and audio technology.
