Held brings extensive experience in the furniture manufacturing sector, having previously held senior positions at the Herbert Neumeyer Group and König + Neurath AG. The 3C Group described him as an "ideal candidate", citing his leadership credentials and industry network.
Burckhard Kramer, founder and shareholder of the 3C Group, stated: 'With Carl-Christoph Held, we have not only gained a managing director with management expertise and excellent connections in our industry, but also a leader distinguished by personal integrity and team orientation.' He highlighted the positive impact this appointment is expected to have on the company's 1,800 employees and future growth.
Held will also take responsibility for the group's four production facilities located in Poland and Slovakia. Commenting on his new role, he said: 'I'm looking forward to the new challenges at the 3C Group as one of the leading upholstered furniture manufacturers in Europe, yet still firmly rooted in the region.' He emphasised a commitment to innovation, sustainability, employee relations, and strong partnerships with retailers and industry organisations.
The 3C Group, known for its Candy and Carina sales lines, maintains a strong tradition in upholstered furniture and continues to position itself as a major player in the European market. Held's appointment follows the departure of former Managing Director Jürgen Kleinegesse in March 2025 after 30 years with the company.
