DECKERFORM, a family-owned company based in Aichach, Germany, has built its reputation over decades by merging traditional toolmaking expertise with forward-thinking innovation. With a team of 55 specialists, the company focuses on creating high-tech, customised plastic solutions. 'For us, plastics are more than just a material,' says Anna Tschacha, Managing Director of DECKERFORM. 'They are a high-tech resource deserving of smart, sustainable design. We believe that if we do something, we do it right.'

The company primarily operates in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland), providing support to clients in sectors such as furniture, interior design, and technical products. Anna emphasises, 'We work closely with designers and manufacturers who understand the intersection of design and function, and we support them with solutions that value material efficiency while ensuring aesthetic and production standards are met.' DECKERFORM also partners with TOYO as the exclusive distributor for all-electric injection moulding machines in the German-speaking market, providing energy-efficient production technology.
At Interzum 2025, DECKERFORM will highlight a series of innovative products that exemplify the company's approach to combining functionality with resource-efficient design. One such innovation is PolyFoamFIBER, a new process that integrates fibre-reinforced organosheets with a foamed core through a single-shot injection moulding technique. The result is lightweight, high-strength components ideal for modern seating solutions. 'PolyFoamFIBER is a perfect example of how we are advancing material science to meet the demands of the furniture industry. The process enables us to create functional parts that require no complex mechanics, just smart, practical design,' Anna explains.
Another standout product at the fair will be moveinBASE, a seating concept designed by Angela Staffa that transforms between upright and lounge modes with a simple motion. 'moveinBASE is about giving users flexibility. With just one movement, the seating can adapt to different needs, making it ideal for multifunctional spaces,' says Anna. 'It's an example of how innovative thinking can lead to products that are both comfortable and efficient in their use of space.'
DECKERFORM is also showcasing the LimbicLife Chair, a project where the company engineered the injection moulding tools. The chair features flexible leg shells produced via the Monosandwich process and a spring element that allows for smooth, body-responsive movement without mechanical complexity. 'This project highlights how our expertise in material science and tool precision can come together to create functional products that respond to the needs of the user,' says Anna.
Interzum serves as a critical platform for DECKERFORM to showcase its expertise in creating practical, high-performance plastic solutions. Anna states, 'Interzum is a place where we can connect with people who share our passion for functional, sustainable design. It's an opportunity to start conversations that turn into collaborations, which ultimately lead to products that are both innovative and feasible.'
Looking ahead, DECKERFORM aims to deepen its collaborations with designers and manufacturers who prioritise sustainable and efficient use of materials. 'Our biggest challenge, and also our biggest motivation, is changing people's perception of plastics,' Anna notes. 'There's still a lot of work to be done to prove that plastics can be used efficiently, sustainably, and circularly. We are committed to showing that when done right, plastics are part of the solution, not the problem.'
The management of DECKERFORM affirms that they are ready for Interzum 2025.
As DECKERFORM prepares for Interzum 2025, Anna is focused on advancing the company's core mission: 'If you have a good idea but aren't sure how to make it work in plastic, talk to us. We are always eager to help turn complex challenges into simple, smart solutions.'
Product photos and previews of their collections and exhibition for Interzum 2025 will be made available by means of an official press release next week.
