OneCollection and House of Finn Juhl achieve prestigious certification

OneCollection, the company behind the House of Finn Juhl brand, is driven by the ambition to create furniture that not only lasts for generations but is also crafted with intention in every detail. The company is therefore proud to announce its B Corp certification, a significant milestone that affirms its longstanding commitment to responsibility, quality, and respect for both people and craftsmanship.

For OneCollection and House of Finn Juhl, responsibility extends beyond production methods and workflows; it's equally about making a positive impact and giving back. With the B Corp certification, the company now has a structured tool to measure and improve its efforts, part of an ongoing ambition to raise the bar and prepare for a responsible, meaningful future.

Responsibility across the board
B Corp is a global movement and certification for companies that meet high standards of responsibility, transparency, and sustainability. Becoming a B Corp demonstrates that a company takes full ownership of its role – from working conditions and production practices to climate impact and ethical business conduct. But it doesn't stop there: Being a B Corp also means committing to actively contributing to positive societal change.

To qualify for certification, a company must undergo a rigorous evaluation across a wide range of criteria and achieve a minimum score of 80. OneCollection and House of Finn Juhl scored 102.1 – due in part to their significant contributions to cultural life through royalties donated to the Wilhelm Hansen Foundation.

'We've been looking forward to this seal of approval for quite some time. We've worked with responsibility for years, but it's been important to ensure transparency and document the full process behind every piece of furniture. With our B Corp certification in place, we now have a solid and credible foundation for communicating our values, and we're genuinely proud of that,' says Hans Henrik Sørensen, Co-owner and Founder of House of Finn Juhl.

Furniture for generations
Prioritising people and the planet is a cornerstone of the culture at OneCollection and House of Finn Juhl. This mindset begins with creating furniture that is not only beautiful, but also responsibly made and built to last for generations.

By working exclusively with high-quality materials, the furniture is made to last – both structurally and aesthetically. Only European oak and ash certified by FSC or PEFC are used, along with American walnut from suppliers collaborating with the industry organisation AHEC.

Through exceptional materials, superb craftsmanship, and enduring design, Finn Juhl furniture isn't discarded over time – on the contrary, it retains its value and demand on the resale market. In this way, the longevity of each piece contributes to a more responsible use of raw materials and natural resources.

Keeping Danish craftmanship alive
While many furniture companies have outsourced production, OneCollection and House of Finn Juhl have chosen to invest heavily in local craftsmanship. The majority of the collection is manufactured in-house at workshops in Denmark, where skilled craftspeople continue the proud Danish furniture tradition.

Preserving and creating jobs in Denmark is just one part of the responsibility that OneCollection and House of Finn Juhl actively embrace. The company supports Danish cultural heritage through the Finn Juhl design archive and contributes to the performing arts by donating five percent of all Finn Juhl sales to the Wilhelm Hansen Foundation. In addition, it supports concrete social initiatives through the NGO LittleBigHelp, which works to improve conditions for vulnerable children and families in India.
