A leadership change has been announced, with a senior board member set to assume the top role following the outgoing CEO's decision to step down.
Blanc & Fischer Group confirmed that Bernd Eckl will leave his position as Chairman of the Board of Management on 30 April 2025. Frank Gfrörer, currently a board member and CEO of Blanco, will succeed him as CEO of the Group.
The decision follows Eckl's earlier notification to the Supervisory Board that he would not renew his contract. He plans to focus on advisory roles within the industry and spend more time with his family. Hans-Georg Frey, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, thanked Eckl for his contributions, stating: 'Bernd Eckl has initiated and partially implemented important structural adjustments and a comprehensive program to improve earnings,' and highlighted the impact of the digitalisation initiatives introduced under his leadership.
Frank Gfrörer joined the Group in 2018 and has been a member of its Executive Board since 2022. His previous career includes over two decades at WMF in various management roles, and a senior position at office furniture specialist Interstuhl. His appointment is expected to bring continuity and expertise to the Group's leadership.
